Elizabeth Sievert is a French horn player and private instructor. Her versatility encompasses a wide variety of musical styles from symphony orchestras, theater orchestras, chamber ensembles, jazz and rock.
Elizabeth is a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago (IL), Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra (WI), Waukesha Symphony Orchestra (WI), and the Water City Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed with the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra (WI), Bel Canto Chorus of Milwaukee (WI), Green Bay Symphony Orchestra (WI), Festival City Symphony Orchestra (WI), Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra (WI), Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra (WI), and is an associate member of the New World Symphony (FL).
Ms. Sievert has played in theater orchestras for the Wizard of Oz, Evita, Cats, Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sound of Music, West Side Story, South Pacific, “The Who’s” Tommy and Broadway’s production of White Christmas.
Elizabeth has appeared as a guest soloist with the Milwaukee Choral Artists (WI), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Community Orchestra, and the UWM Concert Chorale. As an active studio recorder, she can be heard on jazz charts, chamber ensembles, contemporary music compositions, and the soundtrack for the movie Solitaire.
Ms. Sievert holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Music degrees in performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee studying with Gregory Flint. Elizabeth has participated in the Banff International Music Festival (CANADA), Aspen Music Festival (CO), and the Burgos Chamber Music Festival (SPAIN).
With a passion for teaching, Elizabeth maintains an active teaching schedule in the Milwaukee area. Ms. Sievert has taught at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Waukesha County Conservatory of Music, Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, serves as a teaching assistant at Birch Creek Music Performance Center, and is a clinician and private instructor in schools throughout the state.
In addition to music, Liz enjoys the outdoors, tennis, running, skiing, camping and reading.
